Best front court in NBA?

what NBA team has the best front court starters, coming off bench..in the NBA....i'll go with Pistons ..R.Wallace,T.Prince,J.Maxiell,A.Johnson... Ratliff, thats a pretty good rotation of 6....

Best front court in NBA?nba shop

Detroit

Orlando: Howard, Turk, Lewis

NO: West, Chandler, Stojakovic

Best front court in NBA?nba schedules ,nba teams

im thinkin the wizards, THE REAL BIG THREE

C-HAYWOOD

F-JAMISON

F-BUTLER

G-STEVENSON

PG-ARENAS!!!!! Report It

In terms of balance I agree, the Pistons with Prince, Wallace, and Maxiell have a deadly combination of offense, defense, intensity, and chemistry. Honorable mentions should go to Orlando with Howard, Turkoglu, and Lewis, though they are a bit undersized so that hurts them, and Boston with Perkins, Garnett, and Pierce but I say Detroit still plays better together.

If the Lakers are healthy and learn to work together though, it's scary to think about Odom, Bynum, and Pasol with their length and height on the court at the same time.
a healthy laker team

bynum and gasol at c/pf, lemar at pf, ronni, chris mimh, rodmonovic, unstoppable
For now, Detriot, that front court has lots of versatility and experience. In the near FUTURE, it will be very different though..

I think Lakers will have something to say if Bynum comes back: Bynum; Gasol; Odom; Turiaf; Ariza; Radmanovic.
Are you a Pistons fan?

You said that the Pistons have the best backcourts (or guards), now you say they have the best front court.

The best Front Court would got to be the Rockets' club.

In case you don't know, Landry, Scola, Battier, Mutombo, Hayes, and Yao Ming.

That gives you the best defensive front court in the NBA.
Garnett, Big Baby, Perkins, Powe, PJ Brown CELTICS have a star youth, and experience on their frontline, any one can go double double on any night
Definitely a case for the Lakers with Bynum.
Best Frontcourt: When Lakers get Bynum back they will have 2 good 7 footers, and Odom(triple double waiting to happen)

Best Backcourt: Either Ellis and Davis or Billups and Hamilton.
What about Utah??

Carlos Boozer, Mehmet Okur, and Andrei Kirilenko have all been named to the all star team in recent years. Throw in a stud like Paul Millsap, and a tough guy like Matt Harpring, and that's a deep frontline. Even Jarron Collins is good on the defensive end.
Detroit has the best BACK COURT not the best front court.
Right now, I think it's the Lakers' Gasol-Odom-Radmanovic.
How about the Lakers?

C - Andre Bynum

PF - Pau Gasol

SF - Lamar Odom

SG - Kobe Bryant

PG - Derek Fisher

Off the bench:

C/PF - Ronny Turiaf

C - Chris Mihm

F - Luke Walton

C - DJ Mbenga

F - Trevor Ariza

F - Vladimir Radmanovic

I think the Lakers have a good frontcourt starters as well of the bench.
LAKERS

Andrew Bynum

Pau Gasol

Lamar Odom

Vladimir Radmanovic

Trevor Ariza

Ronny Turiaf

Chris Mihm

DJ Mbenga

Who caused the NBA to widen the lanes in 1951?

Which NBA player is primarily responsible for the NBA to widen the lanes from 6 feet wide to 12 feet wide in 1951?

Who caused the NBA to widen the lanes in 1951?fan gear

Geroge "Mr. Basketball" Mikan. Mikan became so dominant that the NBA had to change its rules of play in order to reduce his influence such as widening the lane from six to twelve feet ("The Mikan Rule"). He also played a role in the introduction of the shot clock, and in the NCAA his dominating play around the basket led to the outlawing of defensive goaltending. Mikan set the stage for the Modern Age of the NBA dominated by tall, powerful players.

Who caused the NBA to widen the lanes in 1951?nba draft ,nba teams

Yes Thak you too for the 10 points. You know I just knew it. Ihave been reading lots of Basketball articles that somehow I knew some of the great players by heart, Thanks again! Report It

I'm quite sure it was Wilt Chamberlain, although I don't think he played his first year in the NBA until 1959 so you might be a bit off on 1951 being the year that happened.

I looked Chamberlain up on Wikipedia to make sure I had my facts straight before posting a response. This is from the Wikipedia article:

"The two-time NBA champion and 1972 NBA Finals MVP is holder of numerous official NBA all-time records, establishing himself as a scoring champion, all-time top rebounder and setting yardsticks in field goal accuracy. He was also responsible for several rule changes, such as widening the lane, regarding inbounding the ball and shooting free throws."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_Chambe...

Edit: I may be mistaken about the 1951 change and could be referring to a 2nd increase in lane width that widened it beyond 12 feet, so the earlier poster may be correct.
it came from really bad players

New NBA age limit?

David Stern and other NBA officials have been talking about raising the age limit to declare for the draft to 20 (for most people that is after somphore year). My question is will this happen and if it does will it affect this year's draft?

New NBA age limit?nba gear

it will happen, but it can not affect this year's draft, that is impossible. Last time they were talking about raising the limit it happened, and David Stern is very adamant about this.

New NBA age limit?nba finals 2007 ,nba teams

I do not think it will happen this year but it could happen in next years draft. It would be not fair to put that rule this year because some players like Beasley are already preparing for the draft.

I'm sorry, but the NBA is League ran and it's a complete joke?

Anyone who doesn't think the league is ran by the league office is deaf, dumb and blind. No way in the world all these franchise players keep moving to more interesting markets if the league was in better shape.

The NBA lost alot of interest with the ref scandal last summer and now Stern and his goons are artificially trying to make the league more hyped and interesting with all these crazy trades..Shaq to the Lakers rival Suns for Marion!!Hmmm head shaker. It's a joke.

Not only that, but someone told me that Stern is paying ESPN big money to hype the NBA on their site and TV. All ESPN has been talking about the last 2 weeks is NBA. Barelycollegeb-ball, hockey, champions league like they used to which now are seeing barely any coverage.

I'm sorry, but the NBA is League ran and it's a complete joke?nba betting

That is just stupid if the leagues front office wanted to bust rating they would make trade in the biggest sports cities in the country NEw Yrok and Philly, neither have made any big maove before the trading deadline.

New Yrok and Philly are teo of the origainal NBa cities and are to big sports a b-ball cities in the world. ANd both teams suck .

Stop trying to create things in your head.

I'm sorry, but the NBA is League ran and it's a complete joke?nba fantasy ,nba teams

yes the refs and commisioner hav 2 much control
Hey, it's a business. What do you expect?
maybe, but i still rather watch the nba than any of those others you mentioned.
maybe, but i still rather watch the nba than any of those others you mentioned.
that sutff may be true but if the league office was making these trades dont you think that they would move all the superstars to the east so more people could watch them play. and the reason there talking about the nba so much is beacasue of all the trades and beacause all theother sports you mentioned suck and this is the only good sport in play right now
maybe, but i still rather watch the nba than any of those others you mentioned.
