NBA Playoff Predictions?

Here's mine, what's yours?

Eastern Finals:

(1) Detroit over (2) Cleveland

Western Finals:

(5) Houston over (2) Phoenix

NBA Finals:

(5) Houston over (1) Detroit

MVP: Yao Ming

Playoff predictions:

Eastern Conference First round

(1) Pistons over (8) Magic 4-0

Reason: The pistons swept the Magic this year...I can see them doing the same in the playoffs

(2) Cavs over (7) Wizards 4-0

Reason: The wizards WOULD win this series if healthy...But without Arenas....Sorry, Wizards, but your gonna get swept.

(3) Raptors over (6) Nets 4-3

Reason: Oh....My favorite first round matchup :). However, the Nets usually arn't very good come playoff time. If the Raptors had more experience i'd say Raptors in 6.

(5) Bulls over (4) Heat 4-1

Reason: The reign of the Miami Heat is over: in the first round. Shaq, D-wade, Walker, Williams, Haslem etc...How can they lose? Just throw them up against the best team in the east...All the games will be close, but the bulls will win the close games.

Western Conference First round

(1) Mavs over (8) Warriors 4-2

Reason: I'm worried about my favorite team: the mavs....But i gotta have faith and say they wont get upset.

(2) Suns over (7) Lakers 4-1

Reason: The Lakers shouldn't even be here.

(3) Spurs over (6) Nuggets 4-2

Reason: The Nuggets have A.I. and 'Mello...But they are going up against Spurs defense.

(5) Rockets over (4) Jazz 4-0

Reason: As you say, Yao is gonna be huge (although i dont believe he can be a MVP in the finals...but hey, you could very well prove me wrong)

Eastern conference semi-finals

(2) Cavs over (3) Raptors 4-3

Reason: The Raptors will be wore out from a very tough series against the Nets, while the Cavs are coming off the easiest first round opponent possible.

(5) Bulls over (1) Pistons 4-2

Reason: The Bulls proved they could beat, no, not beat, CRUSH the pistons in that humiliating loss at home to the Bulls.

Western Conference Semifinals

(3) Spurs over (2) Suns 4-2

Reason: Defense against Offense, and sadly, Defense wins championships.

(1) Mavs over (5) Rockets 4-2

Reason: The Rockets will give the Mavs a run for their money each and every game....But in the end the Mavs will be victorious.

Eastern Conference Finals

(5) Bulls over (2) Cavs 4-2

Reason: The Cavs just arn't as good. Period. King James is awesome, but even his team wont be able to stop the Bulls.

Western Conference Finals

(1) Mavs over (3) Spurs 4-3

Reason: Best matchup of the playoffs. Mavs will have a very tough time, but i believe they can pull it off.

NBA Finals

(5) Bulls over (1) Mavs 4-3

Reason: The Mavs will come in over-confident after being, what all the analysts say will be the NBA Champs, the western champs..Chicago will shock them in game 7 for its first title since Jordan.

Finals MVP: Luol Deng

Reason: He does everything, and does everything well.

Are you kidding? The Mavs have the best record in the NBA and have homecourt advantage.

There's no way San Antonio will beat the Mavsin the series. None. Go MAVS!!!

East:

Cleveland over Chicago

The Rockets have T Mac, Yao, and...and....no one else. There's no way that can match up with Mr. Big Shot Chauncey Billups, Rip, a rejuvinated C Webb, and the best small forward in the game, Tayshaun Prince. Note that all the players I listed, with the exception of C Webb (who's just a role player anyway), have a ring, tons of playoff experience, and aa familiarity with the underdog role the Pistons keep getting tagged with. Pistons over Mavs in 5.
Your predictions seem feasible. I really hope the Warriors beat the Mavs. That'd be a sweet upset for decades to come. Houston seems to have everything together and it's either the Spurs or Rockets for the West and most likely Detroit to represent the East. I believe the Rockets would beat Detroit in the Finals and Tracy McGrady would have to carry the team, not Yao.

Tayshaun Prince the best SF in the league? I could name 10 better in a split second buddy.

dirk choked in the finals last year and hes gonna lose to houston in round two if they even get there...the lost 7/8 again the warriors....and got swept this year by them
Matt D., you are retarded. Tayshaun Prince is not the best small forward in the league. Have you ever heard of a guy named Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Josh Howard, Luol Deng, Rashard Lewis, and many others I just can't think of right now? Gees...some people need to be realistic and quit believing that the players on the team they support are the best in the league. As for the playoffs, I think the Suns will beat the Bulls 4-2 in the Finals.
